Hiring Company: Delicatessen Services Co., LLCOverview:The Merchandiser plays a key role in maintaining existing customer relationships and is responsible for entry-level warehouse operations and in-store activities for our retail and food service customers. We are looking for individuals with a passion for providing excellent customer service, a high energy level, and being able to excel working in a small team environment. This role requires a flexible schedule with occasional weekend work.Job Description:Essential Functions Brand Steward Receive weekly product deliveries and stocking coolerProper rotation of perishable items to ensure first in-first out inventory movementPick and pack orders for customer deliveryComplete daily food safety and sanitation activitiesMonitor cooler temperatureBrand Artist Properly rotate and stock retail products, cooler stock, and service case; ensuring back stock is worked into the appropriate locationComplete pricing of retail items including back stock Review expiration dates on all products and note short coded product (10-day sheets)Set up the deli display case ensuring full product line is displayed, priced, and fully facedClean and maintain retail showcases including glass, risers, and shelvesUpdate and re-stock any POS materialsBrand Concierge Build awareness of our premium delicatessen products by engaging consumers through product samplingGeneral Complete additional activities or special projects as assignedMinimum Requirements Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; including basic math and reasoningAbility to speak and read English1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service, sales, warehouse or similar roleBasic computer skillsPhysical Requirements Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hoursAbility to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawlAbility to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs; push or pull objects up to 600 lbs.Working Conditions Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environmentTraining Requirements (Will provide) Basic food safety and sanitationFamiliarity with product lineGeneral warehouse operations (e.g. use of pallet jack, proper lifting techniques, etc.)Location:Kauai, HITime Type:Part timeDepartment:Hawaiian Island Provisions
