Job Description Soaring Eagle Nursery Field Laborer - ( 21000393 ) **Description**
**POSITION SUMMARY:** Work as part of a crew to dig and remove palm trees for transport to staging area. Prepare trees for over the road transport. Perform other agricultural jobs as required.
**RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:**
* Demonstrate and practice the ability to follow all safety rules and regulations.
* Manually dig trees and prepare for loader
* Operate Dyna-digger
* Trim trees as required
* Manually apply water, fertilizers, and herbicides
* Operate ATVs, lawn mowers, pneumatic, gas and hydraulic powered hand tools.
* Prepare and paint farm equipment and buildings.
* Manually load and unload, stack bags of soil, fertilizer, farm chemicals, fence materials, and irrigation parts.
* Keep work area and equipment/supplies clean. Clean equipment.
* Work a nine and a half (9-1/2) hour shift and extended hours as necessary. Work weekends as required.
* Attend and participate in weekly safety meetings

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:**
* No specific education required.
**SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:**
* The position requires the successful completion of drug screening.
* Ability to understand and follow instructions in English or Spanish.
* Requires minimum vision standards and depth perception.
* Requires ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
* Requires ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
* Requires ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** (IF APPLICABLE)
* No supervisory responsibilities.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)**
* This work is performed outdoors.
* It requires the ability to withstand seasonal temperature changes and windy conditions for up to ten (10) hours per day.
* Requires ability to withstand prolonged exposure to vibrating motions**.**
* Requires ability to repetitively mount and dismount equipment.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
* Work is performed in various field locations. Work requires exposure to all temperature and weather extremes, moving equipment, wetness, dust, and fumes. It may require walking on soft muck and hard and uneven surfaces.
**ADDITIONAL COMMENTS** Must be a team player who is willing to cooperate with others.
Must be able to accept corrective criticism from supervisor.
Must be willing to take on a variety of assignments as assigned by management on an as-needed basis within the department and within other areas of King Ranch if necessary.
