GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

This position will be responsible for the financial performance, Hospital cleanliness, Patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.

While assisting the Operations Manager. This position supports EVS Command Center by monitoring patient room discharges with the use of EPIC Bed-Tracking System to ensure the response time and cleaning time are meeting the department expectation. Responding to all service calls and dispatching to the appropriate employees to provide timely service. The dispatcher is responsible for entering the service requests into a departmental specific database.This role demands a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.This position also requires great customer service skills and multi-tasking ability.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor, manage, and maintain efficient workflow of EPIC.

Respond to all related service requests via phone or email in a timely manner.

Scheduling job assignments when and where necessary.

Keep in constant communication with the EVS leadership team.

Act as a liaison between internal customers and Environmental Services staff.

Report any complaints or unusual occurrences involving completion of an assignment.

Helps provide training of new employees.

Has good working knowledge of computer systems and is able to perform a variety of computer functions specific to Microsoft application, excel and EPIC.

Qualifications

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Requires interpersonal skills sufficient to direct ESD Staff and assign tasks.

Requires technical knowledge of general & specialized cleaning procedures & products.

Ability to operate multiline telephone system.

Ability to enter verbal data into computer system correctly and efficiently.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skill

Excellent organizational skill

Highly developed data entry skill

Written and verbal communication skill

EDUCATION:

High School or GED Required.

Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations at a level generally acquired through a high school education.

Demonstrated customer service skills.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of job experience in a Healthcare Support Services Setting.
