Job title: Nurse Practitioner (Gastroenterology)
Location: VA Central Iowa Health Care Systems, 3600 30th Street, Des Moines, IA 50310.
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 07:00 17:00
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with gastrointestinal conditions, including but not limited to consultations, assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care
- Perform thorough physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and order appropriate diagnostic tests and procedures under the guidance of supervising physicians
- Assist in clinic settings, including outpatient GI clinics, to support physicians in delivering timely and efficient care to patients
Qualifications:
- Master s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Gastroenterology, with demonstrated proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and managing GI disorders
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
