Job Details
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welding and fabrication using oxyacetylene or electric welding equipment.
- Lay out, cut, file, and prepare materials for welding.
- Fabricates a variety of regular and irregular parts.
- Perform various fit up and welding processes in all positions.
- Use plasma torch for trimming fittings.
- Verify conformance of work piece to specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide on the job training to new employees as needed.
- Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read tape measure accurately.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Basic press skills preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toed work boots, and gloves.
PPE REQUIRED Safety glasses, ear protection, steel toed boots, and gloves. Use of grinder/cutting torch or welding equipment requires face shield or goggles.
