Job Description

Summary:

Under general supervision, safely performs advanced and expert level diagnoses, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of production equipment in compliance with company policies

Responsibilities:
  • Follow and comply with all safety standards including Lock Out, Electrical Arc Flash, Fall Protection, etc.
  • Provide safe and timely mechanical and electrical support.
  • Ability to interpret and work from complicated drawings, blueprints, worksheets, equipment manuals and other related documents.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Perform various hot work tasks.
  • Orders supplies and repair items as necessary.
  • Set up and operate equipment being used to make and repair parts. Examples would be a lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Ability to work at heights of 10'-0" or more.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Maintain plant backup inventory and readiness

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and bend up to 50lbs unassisted

Qualifications
  • Office PC skills (Excel) and specific software (CMMS) involving technical skills knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems with general knowledge of electrical, VFD and PLC systems.
  • Understanding of spare part inventory process
  • Ability to work independently.
