Pay: $90,000-$130,000
Position Summary
The Grants Accounting Manager will have a strong financial accounting background and will be a vital part in ensuring both the tactical management and stewardship of externally funded grants (federal and non-federal).
Responsibilities and Duties

Manage accurate and timely financial reporting of grant activities, including providing progress updates to sponsors, stakeholders, and institutional leadership.
Evaluate and refine grant management processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the grants management team and across the institute.
Ensure compliance with federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies throughout the post-award grant lifecycle, including but not limited to Uniform Guidance.
Identify and mitigate financial, administrative, and compliance risks associated with grant activities, working closely with other stakeholders to implement/improve controls and procedures to safeguard against potential issues.
Provide training and support to principal investigators, research staff, and departmental administrators on grant management best practices, policies, and procedures.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
5+ years of related work experience with grants and/or program management in a biotech industry or related field.
Ability to understand complex business drivers, develop insights utilizing a data-driven approach, and communicate succinctly to a range of different audiences (principal investigators, administration colleagues, and lab coordinators).
Adaptable to changing priorities while effectively managing multiple commitments.
Strategic mindset coupled with the desire to constantly improve the status quo.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in cultivating cross-collaborative working relationships across an organization.
