Pay: $90,000-$130,000
Position Summary
The Grants Accounting Manager will have a strong financial accounting background and will be a vital part in ensuring both the tactical management and stewardship of externally funded grants (federal and non-federal).
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage accurate and timely financial reporting of grant activities, including providing progress updates to sponsors, stakeholders, and institutional leadership.
  • Evaluate and refine grant management processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the grants management team and across the institute.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies throughout the post-award grant lifecycle, including but not limited to Uniform Guidance.
  • Identify and mitigate financial, administrative, and compliance risks associated with grant activities, working closely with other stakeholders to implement/improve controls and procedures to safeguard against potential issues.
  • Provide training and support to principal investigators, research staff, and departmental administrators on grant management best practices, policies, and procedures.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related work experience with grants and/or program management in a biotech industry or related field.
  • Ability to understand complex business drivers, develop insights utilizing a data-driven approach, and communicate succinctly to a range of different audiences (principal investigators, administration colleagues, and lab coordinators).
  • Adaptable to changing priorities while effectively managing multiple commitments.
  • Strategic mindset coupled with the desire to constantly improve the status quo.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in cultivating cross-collaborative working relationships across an organization.
