We are a Tax Law Firm with a specialized Tax-Bankruptcy practice group renowned for its dedication to client-centered services and the elimination of tax claims through bankruptcy. We are seeking a civil litigation attorney to join our us a team member on a contract basis.
When it comes to filing a tax-motivated bankruptcy case, timing is everything. So often, we see instances where bankruptcy attorneys file cases months, weeks or even days prematurely, and consequently, the client later discovers that they still owe substantial tax debt which could have been eliminated had they timed the bankruptcy case filing correctly. At Tax Workout Group, we time the bankruptcy case filing in order to maximize the discharge, and to accomplish this objective, and our tax attorneys represent the clients before the taxing agencies to eliminate or delay enforced collection. We likewise want accomplish the same with respect to our clients non-tax creditors which requires that we represent our clients defensively in civil litigation matters in order to prevent/delay enforced collection by civil claimants.
To accomplish this, we are seeking to hire an experienced and mid-level associate attorney who has substantial litigation experience, including drafting motions, taking depositions, overseeing and managing discovery, conducting hearings and other proceedings, such as trial, mediation, and arbitration, and who are generally capable of working independently. Candidates must be admitted to the Florida bar and have no less than 5+ years of experience as a licensed attorney.
Key Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school, with a minimum of 7 years of civil litigation experience as described above.
- Demonstrable leadership and organizational skills.
- A fervor for aiding individuals in navigating financial adversities.
- Precision and a keen eye for detail.
- Aptitude for multitasking, with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Strong legal research and writing abilities.
- Bi-lingual capabilities are advantageous, though not mandatory.
