Maintenance Supervisor


Job Details

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the Goodland crush facility and providing leadership to Maintenance Technicians. This position is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient use of all workforce, materials, parts and other resources under their control as well as providing capacity, asset reliability and best life cycle cost to the operation. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading their team by providing direction, leadership, motivation, communication, training, coaching and discipline as needed and within site guidelines for all colleagues within the area of responsibility.Responsible for scheduling of team including vacation time, ensuring cross-training is performed sufficiently to maintain safe and efficient performance of the site during all shifts.Directing daily maintenance activities.Assists with controlling the budget to ensure that it provides for optimized spending to achieve the agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability.A thorough understanding of the oilseed processing operations to be gained/improved by hands-on experience, classroom and technical programs.Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations and guidelines Support business activities, objectives, and programs.Manage the training and coaching for all direct reports to ensure the use of proper safety practices, operating procedures, company systems, policies and procedures.About You3+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and years of experience) in leading maintenance at a grain or oilseed crush facility.2+ years of experience managing people.High School graduate or equivalent required.Working knowledge of trades classifications and functions (electrical & mechanical)Ability to effectively communicate with maintenance technicians and operations.Proficiency with basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and other technical software packages as needed.Ability to work odd hours, weekends, and rotating shift schedule required.PreferredBachelor s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
