We are seeking an experienced **Mental Health Professional (MHP)** to join the **night** shift at the **Crisis Triage Center** on **Saturdays.**

**General Summary of Duties**: The Substance Use Disorder Professional Shift Supervisor supervises the Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDP/T) team, and Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Pacific Hope and Recovery Center (PHRC) and helps shape the clinical direction of PHRC by working closely with staff, referral parties, and other KMHS departments.

The Substance Use Disorder Professional Shift Supervisor helps improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission and provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.

**Supervisory Responsibilities** : Substance Use Disorder Professional and Trainees, Behavioral Health Techs.

**Major Responsibilities/Tasks** :

* Assist in hiring, training, coaching, developing, evaluating and disciplining (if necessary) staff. Provide regular individual supervision. Document and keep records of significant interactions. Complete performance appraisals within agency standards and timelines.

* Work closely with the Integrated SUD Program Manager, PHRC SUDP Shift Supervisors, and others to organize appropriate Co-occurring Disorders (COD) treatment interventions. Also, work with other Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) MHP staff in other departments.

* Promote the enhancement of positive staff morale by facilitating a timely response to problems, ensuring thorough and accurate internal communications, and providing opportunities for staff recognition.

* Monitor and plan the use of unit resources to be within budgetary guidelines especially those related to unit activities and extra staffing. Provide input and assist the Program Manager as needed and appropriate.

* Directly supervise assigned reports to facilitate coverage or personally provide coverage as needed.

* For continuity of care, facilitate shift reports during pass-downs to ensure clients' progress is communicated across shifts at PHRC.

* Facilitate a common language within the unit as to assessing acuity, risk, and methods of intervention.

* Work with SUD Supervisor Team in the admission process, review ASAM evaluations, triage the waitlist, streamline the processes, making sure that clients are able to access care in a timely manner.

* Conduct an ongoing review of clinical charts for compliance.

* Provide substance use disorder and/or if certified mental health direct services in 1-1, group and psycho-educational classes.

* In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.

Qualifications

**Minimum Qualifications**:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Current licensure as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) in WA State. Must meet and maintain the requirements of a SUDP Approved Supervisor as defined in WAC 246-811-049 and ability to provide supervision to SUDP/T.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.

EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)

Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
