Reference laboratory located in Ocala FL is seeking to hire either a full time or a part time laboratory assistant. Part time position working days and hours are Monday - Friday 8am -12:30. Full time position working days and hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm. Option to enroll in Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for FTE. Individual should possess excellent communication skills, basic Word/Excel knowledge, detailed orientated with a positive attitude and good time management. Job duties include specimen receipt, maintaining client requisitions and working closely with laboratory testing personnel. High school diploma or GED plus two years of clinical laboratory experience required. Background screening will be performed. Resume may be submitted to

Job duties:

Receives specimens and performs specimen accessioning into laboratory information system
Performs duties in accordance with policies and procedures
Prepares and organizes work area and supply inventory
Maintains written records
Maintains HIPPA patient confidentiality and security of work area
Knowledge of OSHA requirements
