**Customer Service Assistant**

South Burlington, VT / Toyota Service / Full-time Heritage Toyota is hiring a service assistant! The goal of the service assistant is to assist our service department by collecting customer payments, helping with our rental vehicle fleet and performing general office reception functions. Our Toyota Service team needs someone who possesses great communication skills, enjoys interacting with people, and strives for customer satisfaction.

**Primary Responsibilities**

+ Receive customers' payments for vehicle service, taking cash, checks and processing credit card payments as appropriate

+ Performing cash-up's on a daily basis

+ Answer routine questions and explain standard policies and procedures to customers; referring customers to senior staff for detailed explanations of service charges and bills

+ Record a variety of information pertaining to payment transactions, including amounts of repair orders, effective rates, and so forth, following detailed instructions to ensure accuracy

+ Answer phones, page personnel, and take messages

+ Confer frequently with service writers to coordinate activities, relay messages and exchange information

+ File various documents and perform related tasks as assigned

**Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Strong typing, filing, reception, and other general office skills

+ Basic math skills; previous experience relevant to cashier duties desirable

+ Ability to deal with customers, company staff, and others individuals in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner

+ The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills with a strong work ethic and excel in a team environment.
