Summary

The ideal candidate will a team-oriented leader with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will support the VP of Business Development and Strategy in building a supporting analysis of pipeline opportunities, leading proposal teams, and supporting new business captures for in the United States.


This is a hybrid position and focused on US Army requirement and acquisition departments located in the southeast of Michigan, United States.


Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in proposal efforts
  • Support all aspects of proposal planning, preparation, and submittal efforts
  • Support analysis and development of business cases with expected program costs and schedules for new business opportunities
  • Identify strategic partners or industry groups to form teaming arrangements or partnerships in the pursuit of new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships to support company's business efforts
  • Lead the development and presentation of key pursuits at Gate Reviews
  • Coordinate with team members on Proposal/Bid strategies
  • Support the development of advertising and promotional concepts for products
  • Provide customer/market insight into the product development cycle


Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of defense procurement practices and the DoD acquisition cycle
  • Practical hands on attitude with the ability to operate independently
  • Currently holds or has the ability to obtain SECRET US Defense clearance.
  • Detailed knowledge of Military Standards and regulations
  • Bachelor Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience, Masters preferred
  • 10 years military experience may be used in lieu of Bachelor Degree.
  • 5+ years or more of organizing and preparing winning proposals serving DoD customers, or commensurate experience in industry or military with targeted customers
  • Opportunity analysis experience including opportunity validation, bid/no bid assessments, and competitive assessments
  • Experience working in a multi-national, multi-organizational environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including travel abroad

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
