Job Details

Overall Responsibility:A Survey Tech 1 supports the Project Manager through efficient project production. Must be self-motivated individual that works well in a team-oriented environment.Key Areas of Responsibility:Basic understanding of Boundary/Right of Way resolution and all associated research.Basic understanding of Topographic Mapping and/or Route Surveys.Basic understanding of field surveying and data collection techniques.Basic understanding skills in all related CAD software(s).Basic knowledge of local, State and County laws governing platting and/or GDOT Survey Manual.Basic communications and relationship building skills.Basic technical writing skills.When required, work nights and weekends projecting a high level of flexibility.Basic understanding of SEI CAD standards and/or GDOT Electronic Data Guidelines (EDG).Basic understanding of SEI surveying policies and procedures.Basic understanding of SEI safety policies and procedures.Additional duties as assigned.Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications:Valid Georgia Driver's License, ability to pass a Security Background check, basic knowledge of various survey procedures. Various related CAD skills, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Minimum 2 years surveying field experience preferred.Minimum Physical Requirements:This job operates in a professional office environment.
