**Overview:**

As one of our Guest Services Interns, you will be responsible for aiding our guests in our Guest Services Office or via phone through our Call Center. It is our mission to provide the best service to every guest, every day, every time. You will be responsible for helping to lead our best day guest experience here at Valleyfair.

This internship will focus on hospitality/guest service and communication. The goal of this position is to be an educational and immersive experience. You will be assigned meaningful projects that will provide you opportunities to gain experience in the hospitality and related fields.

**Positions available to those who are 18 years of age or older.**

**How You'll Make A Difference:**

**Responsibilities:**

* Assists guests in our Guest Services Office and via phone in our Call Center to assist with guest inquiries

* You will be responsible for researching answers and information to answer questions and then documents and resolves guests questions and complaints in person and via phone and email

* Create rapport and trust with guests in order to build relationships and uphold our reputation

* Effectively communicate our Ride Admission Program to guests

* Work as a liaison between departments to maximize guest experiences

* Maintain our Guest Management System database

* Act as an internal auditor for guest experience throughout the entirety of the park

* Must be able to retain information in order to be cross trained in arrival process locations; such as Tolls, Ticket Sales, and Ticket Taking

* Provide support to the Guest Services Manager on other special projects

* Provide guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions

* Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision

* Other duties may be assigned

**We're Looking For:**

**Qualifications:**

* Current enrollment in a 2 or 4 year college/university; majoring in hospitality, tourism, communications, business or related field; undergraduate or graduates welcome

* Interest in either hospitality, communications or general business management

* Takes initiative and maintains companys reputation and dedication to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, integrity

* Utilize problem solving skills, including working in a fast-paced, service-focused culture

* Must possess a can-do attitude

* Strong written and oral communication skills

* Knowledge and interest in company

* Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

* Ability to work in multiple internal systems

* Ability to retain large amounts of information

* Ability to work afternoons, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
