Description
Renaissance Realty, a property management company, has an opening for a Building Engineer at our properties located in Williston, Renaissance on Main and Renaissance Station. The building engineer will be responsible for all cleanliness of properties, maintenance of mechanical systems; repair, replace, install lighting and plumbing fixtures; light carpentry, electrical, plumbing.
Responsibilities include:
- System Maintenance
- Follow property maintenance schedule for HVAC system, hot water heaters and tanks, and water and sewer systems
- Establish and follow safety systems testing and monitoring for fire alarm, generator, burglar alarms, access control system and security cameras
- Property Maintenance & Cleaning
- Maintain custodial/janitorial standards of property and complete all custodial/janitorial tasks for common areas, offices, exterior, etc.
- Snow removal, de-icing and winter safety
- Landscaping to include weed control, annual planting and general maintenance
- Monitor and order cleaning and other supplies as needed
- Unit Work
- Work order management - schedule work orders; document work done
- Apartment turnovers - Review unit requirements with management; use prep sheet and determine supplies needed
- Supply and Equipment Management
- Maintain and repair property equipment
- Manage and monitor inventory
- Assist in cost control and budgetary savings
- Obtain parts and supplies on occasional trips to hardware store
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Job Requirements:- 2 -3 years' experience in building maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Must be available for on-call emergencies 24 hours per day
- Experience with cost control of maintenance and repairs
- Experience managing equipment and supply inventories
Salary Description
$25-$30/hr. plus benefits
