Job Description:

The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology is seeking a full time Data Management Analyst III. The Data Management Analyst III will be a member of the data team, possessing an understanding of processes, procedures, and policies.

Essential Functions;

Acquiring Data
Creates and maintains optimal data pipeline architectures. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet the requirements of AI research teams. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data using SQL, Python, and big data technologies

Managing Existing Data
Manage and enhance existing SQL databases. Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems. Build dashboards and analytics tools to support data analysis.

Process Optimization and Automation
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

As a Data Manager, lead and mentor a team of data professionals, aligning them with the center's strategic goals and deliverables. Responsibilities include setting clear objectives, crafting new data utilization strategies, and managing data deployment to data science teams. This requires technical skill, strategic leadership, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to drive innovation and maintain the organization's competitive edge in the big data sector.

Expected Salary:

$65,000 - $78,540 Annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with medical imaging and text data is a plus.
Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) data is a plus.
Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, Cassandra, and MongoDB is a plus.
Experience with cloud-based infrastructures and distributed technologies such as Spark and Kafka is a plus.
Experience with cloud service platform and data warehouses such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc., is a plus.
