Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and organized Property Accountant II who will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions. If you have a background in accounting and are seeking a role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical skills, great attention to detail and the ability to work with a team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of three years of experience in accounting. You should also be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), real estate accounting principles, and the ability to analyze financial statements. In addition, the Property Accountant must be highly organized, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Responsibilities:
- Review financial statements, reports, and other documents including balance sheets, ledgers, and income statements in accordance with GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies, and investigate any irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Troubleshoot and finalize monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for accurate cash management including approving A/P and requesting for contributions when necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets.
- Review General Ledger to ensure proper coding of all transactions
- Collaborate cross functionally with other departments
- Provide support to internal and external auditors.
Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience - range $90-100K/annually (exempt position)
