Cosmetic Inspector
Job Details
Responsibilities:
Blocking, lathing, surface and optical inspection, and polishing
Ensuring accuracy of contact lens prescription using production equipment including CNC lathe, radius gauge, stereo microscope, lensometer and digital measuring devices
Accurate completion of paperwork and or electronic inspection to ensure product acceptance and traceability.
Maintaining clean, safe, & efficient manufacturing environment
Working collaboratively with production team under general supervision
Maintain and improve skills in all operations through training.
Assist supervisor & Training Coordinator onboarding and training new technicians.
Support manufacturing process improvement projects and new product development.
Communicate to engineering technicians regarding defects found during inspection methods.
Minimum Qualifications:
High-school diploma or equivalent experience
1-5 years' prior manufacturing experience or equivalent training/education
1 years' experience in medical device manufacturing required
Advanced knowledge and skills in contact lens manufacturing
Ability to visually inspect for defects under magnification and identify and distinguish between colors
Ability to read and carefully follow instructions and standard operating procedures
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and good organization skills
Excellent collaboration and teamworking skills
Ability to stand or sit during 8 hour durations
Ability to work overtime as required
