Exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Must be a US Citizen. No C2C.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proficient medical care, treatment, and services in accordance with government requirements and standards.
- Maintain current licensure and certifications necessary for the provision of medical care.
- Adhere to the Facility's Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations governing medical staff conduct.
- Ensure compliance with VHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Demonstrate technical competency and ongoing professional development in the field.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary care services to patients within the assigned facility.
- Conduct medical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and formulate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements governing healthcare practice.
Preferred Experience and Attributes:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Physician Assistant within the last five years, with specialization aligned to the position's responsibilities.
- Possess an unencumbered license in a U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth.
- Hold current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- Certification as a Primary Care Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- VA healthcare experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Verify absence from the OIG exclusion list for all personnel.
