L&E is a leading actuarial and insurance consulting firm with over 50 actuaries and 20 examiners nationwide and a largely remote yet "high talent" workforce. YOU WILL:

  • Lead pivotal financial examinations nationwide, adhering to the highest standards of compliance and risk assessment.
  • Enhance examination methodologies through innovative practices, utilizing both on-site and remote technologies.
  • Mentor and develop a team of examiners, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze financial data to support informed regulatory actions and maintain insurer's financial health.
  • Facilitate collaboration with insurance company leaders and state regulators to ensure examination findings are clearly communicated and resolved.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt examination strategies effectively.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an EIC, with a strong preference for candidates who have demonstrated leadership in Lead State coordinated examinations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in TeamMate, MS Office, and other relevant financial examination tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • A demonstrated capacity for continuous learning and leadership in evolving financial regulatory environments.
  • Flexibility to work remotely and willingness to travel for on-site examinations as needed.
