We are seeking a Campus Security Officer Lead to join our team. Based at the Eden Prairie, MN Global Headquarters, the Campus Security Lead is responsible to maintain and manage a safe and secure environment for the corporation, its employees, and Executive Office Personnel. This position is responsible for coordinating, providing, and supervising protective services to Starkey Hearing Technologies Executive Office personnel and others as warranted. The principle role of the Campus Security Officer Lead is to provide safe and secure journey management and personal protection by mitigating security risks in a timely and effective manner.

**Responsibilities**

* Coordinate, provide, and supervise protective services to Starkey Hearing Technologies employees and customers and others as warranted:

* Assure security policy and a safe environment to protect and prevent security issues.

* Develop and implement complete security and logistical plans for domestic and international travel.

* Provide protective escort and accompany designated personnel on movements.

* Coordinate security and logistical planning with support staff, security personnel of other organizations, event planners, law enforcement personnel, and/or others as required.

* Mitigate potential threats and take appropriate action as required:

* Anticipate, assess, and manage situations creating a risk of harm to personnel, assets and others.

* Make critical decisions, without management consultation or approval, regarding the expeditious and safe resolution of such situations, directing others, including non-employees, and interfacing with law enforcement and potentially hostile and/or disturbed individuals.

* Conduct investigations of individuals/situations and make recommendations on minimizing any risk of harm to personnel or others.

* Monitor security systems and supervise response to alarm conditions. Sound and respond to alarms or other indications of risk or duress.

* Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points. Report irregularities and inform violators of policy and procedures.

* Conduct security threat assessments while reviewing the daily schedule and projected travel itinerary of the Executive Office personnel to identify potential security and safety-related issues.

* Initiate emergency-response actions in the event of crises, emergencies, or threats to designated personnel and provide first responder level medical support as circumstances dictate.

* Create a secure environment for employees, customers and staff.

* Maintain organizational stability and reputation:

* Monitor and operate technical security systems including access control, video management, life-safety, phone, radio and mass-notification systems to detect and facilitate the response to potential security threats.

* Comply with legal requirements.

**Other Duties**

* Support Starkey Employee Corporate and/or Department Guidelines.

* React to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.

* Maintain current with trends, actions, and issues with emphasis on criminal threats, workplace violence, conflicts, and developments in the corporate and executive protection field.

**Job Requirements**

**Education:**

* Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice & Security or equivalent required.

* First responder or equivalent emergency medical training required.

**Experience:**

* Minimum five years safety/law enforcement/US military experience or equivalent formal security training required.

* Prior experience with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency preferred.

* Advanced Medical training such as paramedic, combat medic, EMT, LPN.

* Experience with executing security logistics on a global scale

* Investigative experience preferred.

* International travel/work experience preferred.

**Knowledge**

* Demonstrated knowledge of personal and general security fundamentals, concepts, and techniques required.

* Demonstrated knowledge of threat analysis, event/meeting security, residential security protocols, public sector official/executive security, surveillance awareness, and anti and counter-surveillance required.

* Ability to make independent judgments with little or no oversight required.

* Strong problem resolution and independent planning skills required.

* Flexibility and availability to frequently work extended and irregular hours is required.
