**Warehouse Supervisor Decatur, IL

This is a salary exempt position**

**Position Summary:**

This position is responsible for general warehouse operations which includes but not limited to; supervision of up to 50 employees alongside other supervisors, coordination of staging, loading, unloading palletized product, oversight of safety policies, merging and transmitting information with inventory clerks, follow Good Manufacturing Practices standards. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Superintendent.

**Job Responsibilities:**

* Provides direct daily supervision to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse

* Monitor and enforce all safety rules and SOPs

* Ensure an attitude of safety consciousness throughout the warehouse

* Conduct monthly safety audits

* Assist with training and motivating personnel within the organization

* Coordinate staging, loading, and unloading operations on both inbound and outbound shipments

* Ensure product is stacked and stored in the most efficient manner possible

* Make recommendations to the Superintendent on initiatives to improve aspects of the operations

* Provide leadership regarding bar code operating system problem solving

* Directs workforce to achieve maximum efficiency

* Applies decisive communication, motivational techniques and leads by example for direct reports

* Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment

* Frequent documentation and data monitoring for product movement and employee proficiency

* Ensure property damage and safety incidents are properly reported and investigated immediately and fully

* Confirm compliance with OSHA and GMP standards

* Audit accuracy of inbound and outbound loads in addition to staged orders

* Assists Superintendent with space utilization and allocation

* Coordinates the relocation and consolidation of product as required

* Conduct periodic cycle counts of product in warehouse locations

* Communication promptly and effectively with customer service reps and commercial management

**Job Requirements**

* Forklift experience is preferred

* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

* Minimum high school education required

* 2 year + college degree preferred

* Previous supervisory/leadership role strongly preferred

* Experience in transportation/warehousing/logistics also preferred

* Flexibility to move between shifts as needed

**Physical Requirements**

* Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check

* Standing for prolonged periods of time

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs

Relocation is available for this position.
