Advantage Group is in search of a Leader, an Entrepreneur, an Innovator, a Game Changer to fill an Insurance Marketing Director Sales and Leadership position in the Greater St. Louis, MO Metropolitan area. We are looking for a results driven, enthusiastic, high energy, motivated competitive Independent Insurance Agent and/or Broker to partake in our business development activities. The Insurance Marketing Sales Director position will take on a leadership role and be responsible for promoting and selling our worksite voluntary group benefit plans, finding new customers, recruit, train, mentor and develop a team.


The Advantage Group works directly with local business owners to deliver voluntary group benefits for their employees. The Advantage Group works with over 30 insurance carriers to be able to provide the best suite of products for any employer. Agents sell on value; we work for our clients!

The goal is to steadily forge long-term relationships to secure the company s revenues and growth in the Greater St. Louis, MO Metropolitan area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • The Marketing Director is a leadership, sales and entrepreneur role, responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring new agents, along with building a team.
  • Generate new business opportunities though centers of influence, networking, referrals, and calls to cultivate trust with potential customers.
  • Conduct meetings with business owners to design benefit plans to best meet their employee's needs.
  • Educate and enroll interested employees directly into worksite plans.
  • Service existing employers and employees through ongoing consultations.
  • Invent effective marketing strategies to sell voluntary group benefits insurance plans to new clients or up-sell to current clients
  • Gauge the condition of business customers and discover plans according to their employee needs and requirements
  • Submit regular reviews of progress to interested parties
  • Accomplish predetermined development goals by obtaining new clients
  • Follow the market trends and continuously refurbish knowledge on products and services
  • Fulfill all policy requirements



Skills / Qualifications:

  • Valid Accident, Health and Life Insurance License Required for state of Missouri
  • Proven experience as an insurance agent and/or broker with Minimum of 2 years Insurance sales and Leadership
  • Knowledgeable in all types of voluntary group employee benefit insurance plans (accident/health, short-term disability, long term disability, critical illness, life insurance)
  • Leadership and Sales experience required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic work environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of computers and statistics
