Residential Sales Manager


Job Details

Location Minnesota **Develop strategy to drive sales and achieve goals set by and with the executive team**

* Create action plans for each sales team member to reach goals that include development of relationship management, lead generation, sales skills, and sales pipeline development/management

**Hire, develop, manage, and lead the sales team**

* Motivate, energize, develop, and manage sales staff.

* Oversee several sales associates, train new team members, and develop and implement sales processes to increase effectiveness

* Ensure metrics are met consistently by each sales team member

* Utilize data to inform decision making and drive the team towards expected results

* Train and develop direct reports utilizing the companys values and pillars

* Lead weekly sales meetings and one-on-ones with the team

**Execute the sales plan**

* Maintain an active role in overseeing sales including relationship building, community engagement, presentations and networking, lead generation,site visits, proposal generation, follow-ups, contract negotiations, and closing

* Create and manage the sales team budget

* Own the tracking, accountability, and forecasting of your teams sales pipeline

* Maintain a high-level understanding of all operations (permitting, construction, finance)

* Lead interactions with Finance, Project Development, Construction, and Management to help efficiently advance the NES initiatives

* Ensure that you and your team are on top of all that is solar in applicable markets: programs, legislation, news, competitors, and projects in development. Make decisions for the better of the company based on these understandings

* 5+ years of proven B2B and/or B2C sales experience

* 3+ years proven management experience

* Experience managing and improving a CRM

* Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, such as business, marketing, and/or finance preferred

* Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM skills

* Clean driving record

* Experience in solar or energy industry

* Experience using HubSpot

* Results-oriented, self-motivated, and ability to thrive in a complex sales environment

* Relevant experience managing a portfolio of customers to achieve revenue and share objectives

* Proven territory planning and management skills

* Demonstrated record of leadership in a fast-paced atmosphere

* *Experience with at least one professional sales system (program, methodology)*
