Claims Administrative Assistant

About the role:
DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Claims Administrative Support Specialist for the Claims Divisions. The Claims Divisions handle claims reported under policies issued through the underwriting divisions of Dual North America, including Commercial Property, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Transactional Risk and Crisis Management/Product Recall programs. This position would be a support role to assist the Claims Divisions with performing administrative duties such as establishing new claims, responding to agent/broker inquiries, and assisting the claims adjusters with vendor communication, payment of expense invoices, sanction screening, file closures and other administrative tasks related to the handling and maintaining of claims. Additionally, this role would assist the Claims Operation Manager on special projects and perform other related duties assigned or requested by Claims Divisions, as assigned.

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Hourly amount: $25-$30/hr.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide assistance to the Claims Divisions personnel and back up support as needed
  • May assist with claims setup and entry, electronic imaging or indexing, preparation/entry of claims transactions, and file closing
  • Updates claim files and maintains, corrects and/or updates data using office technology.
  • ISO/Medicare screen and processing claims via mail
  • Learns to perform claim processing and payment functions for one or more lines.
  • Assist with project management and development
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.


Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of claims processes, regulations, and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
