My client has been making a name for themselves in the Detroit Construction market for over 40 years. They have a diverse portfolio including Light Industrial, Commercial, Education, Hospitality, and Entertainment projects valued between $15-$50M.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project design meets specifications
- Develop and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure financial targets are met
- Select and oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and cost efficiency
- Monitor construction progress and address any delays or issues to maintain project schedule
- Implement and enforce safety standards and protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate regularly with upper management and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
- Ensure project completion within budget, schedule, and quality standards, meeting or exceeding client expectations
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Project Management experience at a Commercial or Light Industrial General Contractor
- Successful track record running projects valued at $10M or more
- Significant experience overseeing ground-up projects
- BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent preferred
- Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project preferred
- Knowledge of local Detroit subcontractors
