Job Details

The Orthopedic Service Line PA or NP will be assisting our orthopedic surgeons in a hospital setting. This role will be assisting in the operating room, along with assessing patients, writing orders, rounding, educating/teaching, performing consults and discharging on orthopedic patients. This position entails working closely with hospitalists and hospital staff to help to maintain the orthopedic clinical pathways/protocols. This position will require working with hospital staff by identifying educational needs and assists with development, training, and in-services. Assist with devolvement of protocols to improve efficiency throughout the hospital, and have a good working knowledge of CPOE (Computerized Physicians Order Entry). There will be some assisting with chart audits and clinical documentation. This position will also be a point of contact in assisting with follow-up on general patient care concerns (during and post discharge), staff concerns related to processes, and for reviewing processes to promote / recommend the best practice standards.


This position entails assisting in surgery, working in a hospital setting, and Urgent Care. Primarily day shift Mon-Fri with up to one weekend per month of call/rounding and Orthopedic Urgent Care Coverage is required. One evening meeting per month is required. Some coverage of other hospital health systems may be required to support the service line, in addition to Orthopedic Urgent Care Coverage.


Requirements Needed to Apply:

  • Current Oklahoma licensed & Board Certified Physician Assistant
  • Experience or interest in Orthopedic Surgery or total joint replacement surgery
  • Computer Skills required
