**Transportation Specialist (Temporary Virtual Role)** to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
**Your Role:**
As a **Transportation Specialist (Temporary Virtual Role)**, you will be responsible for follow-up with carriers validating codes and shipments within the transportation planning and execution functionality within RCP.
You will have the opportunity to:
* Work collaboratively with Senior Manager of Transportation Operations and team members
* Follow up with carriers for compiling reason codes for delivery status
* Proactive tracking for HTV/LOU shipments
* Validate and assist tracking/managing inbound shipment requests
* Create an environment of continuous improvement within the transportation functionality at RCP
Ultimately, you will be the primary conduit for validating and cross referencing invoices by using your accounting background and excellent communication and organizational skills by facilitating and seamlessly servicing our internal and external customers.

**We need you to have:**
* BA/BS degree in Procurement, Logistics, or a related field
* 4+ years of related professional and progressive logistics/transportation experience in a high volume CPG environment with multiple plant and DC footprint
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
**Icing on the cake:**
* MBA or other advance degree a plus.
* APICS, PMO, Lean or Six Sigma accreditation training desirable for role.
