Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager with experience in commercial construction and a focus on HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of mechanical systems, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of HVAC projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company standards.
- Oversee project budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a focus on HVAC projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including design, installation, and operation.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering them on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
