Residential Assistant Manager Job Details Level Management Job Location Block Institute - Brooklyn, NY Education Level High School Diploma / GED Job Shift Any Description The ARS Assistant Manager, in conjunction with the Residence Manager, insures that the Residence(s) in which they monitor is running at maximum efficiency, keeping in regulatory compliance as well as providing a high quality of life for all who live and work there. It is expected that a Residential Manager / Asst. Manager participate in and execute administrative duties and, at times, pitch in to assist individuals when needed. Therefore, flexibility to manage administrative maintenance activities and perform direct support services is essential in performing the dual assignment.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

* Ensure the development and implementation of all aspects of quality programming within the residence..

* Assist in the development and implementation of all aspects of quality programming in the residence.

* Directly supervise and help evaluate all Direct Support Professionals.

* Help to maintain the Residence's operating budget as assigned.

* Monitor service plans for all individuals in the residence and ensures timely submission of paperwork by appropriate staff and clinicians.

* Assist the Residence Manager in coordinating and/or follow-through on all desired services with all manner of providers, including but not limited to: medical, psychological, educational, work-related, food, clothing, shelter, etc.

* Assist the Residence Manager in creating an effective team.

* Assist the Residence Manager in ensuring that dietary and housekeeping needs, including purchasing, maintenance, bookkeeping, etc. are met per regulatory / policy requirements.

* Comply with other central agency departments such as Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, Medical, etc.

* Ensure all regulations are met (both State and Agency-driven) related to medication storage, administration, etc. The Residence Manager must be able to pass the AMAP certification course.

Qualifications

* Associate's Degree preferred

* One (1) years of experience in the OPWDD field;

* Valid NYS Drivers License

* SCIP/AMAP/CPR (Strongly Preferred)
