Our client, one of the largest independent music festival production companies, is looking for a VP, Creative Production to join their team! The VP, Creative Production is responsible for overseeing the creative production of entertainment, hospitality, leisure, and retail elements of all live events. With a mindset of experience comes first, the VP, Creative Production blends technology, storytelling, and interactivity, transforming creative concepts into physical experiences that leave a lasting impression on all guests who attend and talent that perform at festivals. Ideal candidates for this position have prior executive leadership experience and expertise in designing and building experiences that combine creativity & innovation and consumer engagement with business optimization and operational excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a wide variety of music festival experiences, such as: Stage Productions, Amusements and Attractions, Sponsor Activations, Premium Experiences (e.g. VIP), Culinary Experiences, Concessions, Camping, Merchandise , Entry Moments , Photo Opps, Guest Services
  • Oversee all phases and elements of creative production, including: Master Planning, Content Development, Design, Drafting, Engineering, and Construction Drawings, Prototype Creation /Testing, Construction and Fabrication, Graphics and Signage, Art Direction, Tech - Audio, Lighting, and Video , Project Management, Value-Engineering, Logistics, Installation
  • Lead the Creative Production department in:, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Settlement, Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Relations, Organizational Development, Resource Planning , Employee Development and Training , Stakeholder Management
  • Ensure all projects are produced within the constraints and/or standards of: Budget, Quality, Resources, Safety, Scope, Time


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Architectural Design, Construction Management, Environmental Design, Interior Design, or Urban Planning preferred
  • 6+ years experience leading the design and build of large-scale live event, live music and/or location-based experiences
  • 2D and 3D Vectorworks drafting expertise
  • A mix of creative, operational, and technical production skills and experience
  • Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts
  • Ability to travel and/or be onsite up to 30% of the time
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to drive results and coach teams with continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Highly-collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Adept at conceptualizing, designing, planning, prioritizing, and executing
  • Competency in Microsoft and Google suites
  • OSHA and Event Safety Alliance training and certifications preferred
