Description/Responsibilities: Exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team with physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to improve the care of patients in a primary care setting. Will partner with health care providers to improve the overall quality of life and health outcomes, providing mostly brief intervention aimed at functional restoration & providing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and support with a focus on responding to SUD needs. Will provide some brief therapy. This position also supports the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinic which includes opportunities to provide recovery treatment to individuals and groups. This position offers the opportunity to work with a very diverse population including some individuals who are housing challenged or homeless. Extensive professional development opportunities are offered. Minimal clinical documentation using SOAP note format. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program in such a manner that fulfills the specific Health Care Setting and CMHA-CEI s mission, policies and procedures. This position is located with the New Hope Community Health Center.


Requirements: Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling is required. Possession of a Limited License Master Social Worker (LLMSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Limited Professional Counselor (LLPC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is required, If hired with an LLMSW or LLPC license full LMSW or LPC exam must be completed six months after completion of 4,000 hours of post-degree supervised social work experience or 3,000 hours post-degree supervised counseling work experience. Must be in the process and have full licensure within 2 years of hire. Must have or be willing to plan for Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) certification - support is available for obtaining your CAADC. One year of professional experience specific to the provision of a brief model of outpatient therapy is required. Two years of independent clinical experience and the ability to practice independently, without on-site clinical supervision is required. Candidate will need to be credentialed with a variety of Medicaid Health Plans. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Candidate may be expected to work some evening hours. Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required.


Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $57,125 - $64,841 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $74,972. 40 hours per week, some evening hours.
