Location: Chicagoland, IL The Sing to Live Community Chorus [ was created in 2005 to provide a unique musical outlet that fosters hope and celebrates survival for singers whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
We're seeking someone with a passion for our mission [above] and experience leading a group of singers with a wide variety of skill levels, which can include experience with high school/church/community choruses or smaller ensembles. We have 70 singers (SATB).
This is a part time position. We perform twice a year: rehearsals for an October concert (during breast cancer awareness month) and rehearsals for an April concert.
Our repertoire includes popular music (Beatles, Broadway, Motown, the 60s, and the like.) which makes our chorus unlike most others. With this repertoire we glean an average audience size of 600-700 per concert weekend.
