Hawaii s KKAI TV-15 and KUPU TV-50 are now the local broadcast and cable TV affiliates for 24-hour news and sports national TV networks NEWSnet and SportsNews Highlights, featuring local Hawaii news, weather and sports inserts. We are now seeking a Honolulu-based experienced Account Executive to join our growing team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating revenue by selling TV and digital advertising directly to Hawaii based major accounts to air on our Hawaii TV Stations. You will interact with clients, develop and maintain business relationships, and negotiate deals.
*This role is based in Honolulu, Hawaii with work and business meetings across all of the islands*
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients and generate leads through market research and networking
- Contact clients to set up meetings and present advertising proposals
- Manage and maintain business relationships with current clients and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell advertising space
- Negotiate advertising rates and contracts
- Collaborate with advertising design and production teams to ensure client needs and expectations are met
- Create and maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales, and advertising space inventory
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competition, and market conditions
- Enter and maintain all national or local orders including electronic transfer and maintenance of all orders to WideOrbit
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Business acumen and experience in sales and marketing
- 5+ years of experience in advertising sales
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management software
- Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic is strongly preferred
- This role requires frequent travel in the designated market
