Blaze Logistics, LLC is a growing family-owned Courier and Final Mile delivery solutions company with nearly 50 years experience in the transportation industry. We pride ourselves on always providing reliable and efficient services to our clients. Our headquarters is located in New Orleans, LA where the company was founded. We are currently growing our footprint throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast Region. We are opening in Shreveport within the next 30 days and are looking for the right person become part of the Blaze family to lead this facility. We are looking for someone who shares our vision and the opportunity to grow this location and does not view this as just another job.


Responsibilities

This is a full-time role for Senior Operations / Branch Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your territory s logistics needs. Those needs range anywhere from making sure the daily distribution of freight jobs are received, scanned, sorted and shipped out to make an on-time final mile delivery. Communication both verbally and electronically to our customers, corporate office, drivers and anyone who needs to receive information on a regular basis. In addition, you will create and manage schedules, build and manage efficient routes, monitor performance, maintain compliance requirements, recruit Independent Contract drivers to perform the deliveries, as well as other operational tasks to make sure all customers needs are handled. This position requires on-site presence in the Shreveport-Bossier City office.


Qualifications

Strong leadership and organizational management skills

At least 3 years experience as an operational territory / branch manager.

At least 5 years of working experience and knowledge of the logistics industry

(Preferably within the Last Mile logistics segment or with a 3PL company)

Excellent problem solving and quick decision-making abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in using technology and software for operations management

Ability to train others how to use technology and software for delivery completion and tracking

A high understanding of Office 365 and apps such as SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

A Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field is a plus
