The Inova Ambulatory Surgery Center at Lorton stands as a comprehensive outpatient facility dedicated to delivering exceptional care. Situated conveniently near the intersection of Lorton Road, I-95, and Route 1, within the Inova Lorton HealthPlex, our surgery center holds licensing from the state of Virginia, certification from Medicare, and accreditation from AAAHC.
We specialize in providing cost-effective outpatient services, leveraging cutting-edge technology, all within a warm, compassionate environment. WORK SCHEDULE: - Monday-Friday
- Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
- 5 x 8s (0700-1530)
- 4 x 10s (0630-1700, varied days off)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Scrub/Circulate surgical procedures including GI/Endo
- Providing communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room
- Maintaining sterile environment during the surgical procedure
- Conducting and documenting sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure
- Completing intra-operative documentation of the procedure
- Acting as the patient's advocate during patient's stay in the operating room
- Assisting with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies
JOB REQUIREMENTS:- One year operating room nursing experience is required
- Two or more years of scrub and circulating experience is highly desired
- RN Graduate from an accredited nursing institution, BSN preferred
- Current RN license in the state of Virginia
- BLS Certification required
