Position Summary

CTE partners with professional associations in the zero-emission transit industry to help advance the adoption of zero-emission buses and provide support to transit agencies interested in fleet electrification. CTE is seeking a full-time, Workforce Development Associate to directly support the administration and programming of a training organization for the transit workforce. CTE s industry partners in this work consist of stakeholders from transit agencies, educational institutions, and the private sector. Prior experience with zero-emission vehicles is not needed, but attention to detail and the ability to support multiple customers simultaneously are key. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently to overcome obstacles, suggest better approaches, and communicate effectively verbally, visually, and in writing. Travel is required on average 2-3 days per month. If you are a confident, analytical, self-starter interested in the environment and transportation, we encourage you to apply.


Responsibilities

  • Support senior- and mid-level managers as part of a project team
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with remote and in-person co-workers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop subject matter expertise in transit vehicle technologies, their application, and effective training strategies
  • Maintain web presence, including public websites, LinkedIn pages, and private member portals
  • Manage training programs and related data and metrics; maintain and update web registration platform, monthly newsletters, course attendance, and quarterly reporting
  • Interface with stakeholders, customers, trainees, trainers, academic partners, vendors, etc.
  • Interface with non-profit board and committee members in a professional manner; organize committee meetings and various organizational task forces
  • Manage membership information including member information databases, member portal access, and contacts
  • Execute association events and attend conferences as a representative of the professional association
  • Planning analyzing, and implementing workforce development strategies
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, including developing meeting minutes, tracking action items and project tasks, managing schedules and budgets, and developing progress reports


Required Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated history of collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficient in English writing
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States


Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year degree
  • Training and Learning Management experience, with Adult Learning experience preferred
  • Engaged in workforce development strategies and execution
  • Educational outreach and networking experience
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of vehicle components and performance

Salary Range

  • $62,000 $77,000
