Warde Description **New Wage Scale with Rates starting between $15.50 and $18.81 per hour, depending on experience!**

Join our excellent team of professionals to help meet the medical, social and spiritual needs of the people we serve. Warde Senior Living in Windham, NH, is currently a 36-bed Assisted Living community and a 32-bed skilled nursing facility offering short and long-term care in a warm, supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We also have 21 brand new independent living apartments that provide an affordable living option to our community. We are excited for this newest addition of services which will enhance our campus and overall continuum of services.

We are looking for an experienced full-time Cook (40 hours/week; 6:00am-2:30pm every other weekend) to join our Culinary Services team. ***We'll pay you based on your experience and for full time, we will offer you a great work environment with generous benefits, including 401(k) plan, medical, dental, life and disability insurance, along with other fringe benefits.***

Prior food service experience is required; ServSafe Certification is preferred. You must be a self-starter, dependable and demonstrate not only outstanding customer service but compassion and patience for the residents you'll serve. It will be your responsibility to ensure that food is prepared, cooked, and served with consideration for residents' individual needs.

**Job Responsibilities**

Prepare and cook a variety of foods on a timely basis in accordance to current menu and standardized

recipes, in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures.

Prepare food in accordance to current diet, texture, and liquid consistency orders. Follow established

portion control procedures.

Review menus prior to preparations; forecasting accurate amounts needed, or following procedures to

make appropriate substitutions if needed.

Assure proper food storage according to established policies and procedures, including accurate labeling

and dating.

Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing. Assist with updating resident profiles and

printing of tray tickets in food service software program.

Assist in inventory and storage of food and supply deliveries.

Ensure that safety regulations are followed at all times by all culinary service personnel.

Requirements Must be willing to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and receive first dose prior to starting.

High School Diploma or GED

Must possess at least one years experience in a health related or food service facility, preferably in a long term care setting

Be dependable

Must have knowledge of sanitary procedures

Must be able to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner

ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days
