Overview

Exciting growth at Maxor National Pharmacy Services has created a new opportunity for a full time Pharmacy Technician. In this role, the Pharmacy Technician will provide compassionate customer service at East Liberty Family Health Care Center Pharmacy, a clinic-based retail pharmacy located in the Lincoln-Lemington area of Pittsburgh. In this integrated model, the pharmacy team will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and take prescription orders
  • Convey empathy and understanding when handling customer service issues.
  • Operate the cash register by ringing up sales for customers
  • Assist in keeping the pharmacy clean and the shelves stocked
  • Answer the phone
  • Input customer information into the computer system

Qualifications

  • Current PTCB Certification, or ability to obtain your certification within 6 months (MAXOR WILL ASSIST) preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking a huge PLUS
  • A minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience
  • Proven track record of exemplary customer service
  • Computer experience mandatory
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care
  • Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently
