A one-of-a-kind Prestigious Estate in the Cedar Rapids, IA area is actively searching for anEstate & Facilities Assistantto join its team.
As the Estate & Facilities Assistantyou will help manage, maintain, and enhance various aspects of the 100+ acre estate, including its facilities, grounds, and specialized features like water fixtures. You will also collaborate closely with the Estate Manager, demonstrating expertise in a broad spectrum of building and groundskeeping trades, such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, landscaping, and water feature maintenance.

Job Duties:
Oversee and execute maintenance tasks across diverse areas of the estate, ensuring the upkeep and preservation of buildings, equipment, and facilities
Take charge of landscaping responsibilities, which include weed control, maintaining irrigation systems, and performing essential groundskeeping functions like grass trimming and pruning of trees and shrubs
Diagnose, repair, and install a variety of equipment and fixtures, utilizing expertise in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other trade skills
Ensure the smooth operation of specialized water features like ponds and streams
Service various equipment, including fans, filters, compressors, and pumps, through oiling, greasing, cleaning, and other essential tasks
Regularly inspect heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems to guarantee optimal functioning
Job Requirements:
2-5 years of progressive experience in the building, landscaping or groundskeeping sectors
High School Diploma or equivalent
