**Scope of Work:**

The Corporate Safety Manager will be responsible for partnering with site level operations teams to execute the company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable regulations. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in company processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for THTBC/KIRA employees. The Corporate Safety Manager must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the operations teams and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.

**Responsibilities:**

* Instruct and train operations leaders and site safety professionals in company safety policies and assist teams in incorporating safety standards at their site.

* Identify best practices and incorporate them into company standards to continuously improve company safety policies.

* Communicate safety team expectations and give frequent and appropriate guidance and feedback to site safety teams while ensuring they are executing to the core competencies of the company.

* Demonstrated ability to judge and assess safety talent and select appropriate bench strengths to current and future business needs.

* Measure site safety performance against government standards and identify a plan to address all deficiencies.

* Analyze quality and safety metrics. Review incidents weekly and monthly to discover trends and propose action plans.

* Audit record keeping practices to ensure compliance to safety standards and local regulations.

* Audit workplace organization and associate behavior to ensure that training, auditing, and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.

* Engage site Project Managers to drive long-term strategic actions to achieve incident reduction.

* Oversee and manage all OSHA and incident reporting.

* Assist project site with maintaining quality and compliance with ISO standards.

* Compiles and analyzes accident, injury and property loss data to identify root cause relationships and trends that can adversely impact workers compensation costs; and assists with formulating Corrective Action Plans in conjunction with appropriate management to bring about a reduction of incidence and lower insurance related costs.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements:**

* 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. Government contracting a plus.

* BS/BA in Safety, Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health or a related field required.

* Develop and implement department goals and strategies based on broader organization goals.

* Analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Must possess excellent safety, environmental and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrate this expertise when working with operations.

* Effective communicator with the ability to send clear, concise and consistent messages both verbally and written.

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental and safety inspections.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

**Preferred Requirements:**

* Experience in ISO certification and training

* TQM, Lean, Six Signa experience

* OSHA 500 General Industry 10-30 hour classes

* OSHA 501 Construction to teach 10-30 hour classes
