Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in Automation in a manufacturing environment, responsible for sophisticated manufacturing and automation equipment.
- Detailed knowledge in PLC and electrical controls.
- Proficiency in mechanical and design areas of automation with general machining capabilities.
- Thorough familiarity with hydraulic function of manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient in Electrical/Electronic components of manufacturing equipment.
- Self-motivated to learn and perform job tasks to meet or exceed company expectations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Primary Functions
- Ensure all machinery, equipment, building structures, and facilities are maintained and functioning properly.
- Perform maintenance on all manufacturing and facility equipment, including mold presses, auxiliary equipment, and miscellaneous plant equipment.
- Participate in the maintenance of the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimum machine utilization.
- Recommend and lead innovative improvements to upgrade equipment and processes.
- Maintain accuracy of maintenance history records for all equipment.
- Interface with production to schedule equipment maintenance as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical problems on equipment, providing timely short-term and long-term recommendations.
- Coordinate with production and tooling on issues beyond the skill level of the shift team to ensure accurate communication of repair needs and timely completion.
- Adhere to plant safety rules, identify and eliminate safety hazards or concerns, and assist in monitoring the quality of work output.
