The Company
Our client is a fast growing clinical research site network that started in 2015 and grew to 11 sites with plans to double in the next couple years! They have run over 400 clinical studies in Phase I - IV in therapeutic areas mainly focused in GI, Hepatology, and CNS! Their goal is to be the best place to work in the country, and they are excited to find people excited to make that vision come to life through quality patient care and research. Right now they are looking to bring on a Pre-screening and Enrollment specialist to their site in Marrero, LA!
The Role
As the Pre-Screening and Enrollment specialist, you will support, facilitate, and coordinate the clinical trial matching process by pairing patients with appropriate trials! Educate patients on the study opportunities, ensure eligibility with inclusion and exclusion criteria, and schedule patients to visit the clinic for their first visits!
- Manage the pre-screen process for incoming candidates to identify quality patients for study-specific trials.
- Collect and document patient medical history, medication list, family medical history, pending or planned surgeries, vacations, etc. Elaborate on the medical information collected from the phone recruiter.
- Properly schedule patient screening visits
- Understand how to read protocols including Inclusion and Exclusion criteria
- Submit monthly metrics on the number of prescreens conducted, screens scheduled and number of screen fails.
- Communicate protocol issues to study team
- Perform clinical tasks including, but not limited to, vital signs, height and weight, ECG, phlebotomy, specimen packaging, etc as needed. (TRAINING PROVIDED HERE IF NEEDED)
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
- 1+ years experience working with patient scheduling and screening in a medical setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical Research Experience
- Experience with Phlebotomy, EKG, taking Vitals, etc.
