Sr. to Principal Software Engineer - Java - AdTech leader
Location: you can either work remotely or in the company's office in Palo Alto, CA
The company is publicly traded and is rapidly growing. Its products are in the realms of mobile, gaming, b2b2c, and adtech.
Within its product segment, the company is increasingly taking market share from Facebook and Google. There are only about 20 companies in the world with comparable scale as this company, but unlike most of those companies, this company only has about 80 engineers!
The company will pay very competitive salary (no salary cap) plus RSUs which could be very lucrative.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working on the Ad Server team.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-availability, low-latency, large-scale distributed systems that handle billions of requests per day.
- Optimizing system performance and system scalability.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional engineering teams.
- Collaborating with the product team on the product roadmap.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic, with a focus on high achievement rather than work/life balance. Work hours are expected to average roughly 50 hours/week. Some people happily work more.
- At least 5 years of professional experience (the more the better).
- Strong in Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, design patterns, etc.
- Experience building large scale, high traffic distributed systems.
- Expertise in Java.
- Product-oriented mindset.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the adtech / advertising space.
- Strong in mathematics.
- Kotlin, gRPC, GCP, BigQuery, Bigtable
