Location: Austin, Texas

South Austin HQ: (in office & some remote fully remote possible after probationary period)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager / possible future Division Leader for our C store Construction - Fuel Petrol division. This division specializes in building state-of-the-art high-end C stations complete with restaurants, deli locations, and boutique shopping experiences. This is not your ordinary gas station build.

Our core construction builds are $5-25M range: Hospitality , Retail, Mid Rise Hotel, class A build outs, our firm has a long station reputation in the Texas market, spanning over 27 yrs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of ground-up construction projects within the PETROL division, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Lead a team of construction professionals including project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  3. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to optimize project profitability and client satisfaction.
  4. Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and client expectations are exceeded.
  5. Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures on all job sites to maintain a safe working environment and deliver superior construction outcomes.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners to foster repeat business and drive growth in the PETROL division.
  7. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and opportunities.
  8. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of commercial construction, particularly within the C station sector.
  9. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional development and contributing to the overall success of the division.
  10. Work closely with our VP and President both operationally and long-term planning and execution of growing our teams and our business portfolio

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in commercial ground-up construction management, with a focus on Gas station C station builds, retail, hospitality, or similar sectors.
  3. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget, with a strong emphasis on quality and client satisfaction.
  4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team of construction professionals.
  5. Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  7. Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or CMIT are a plus.
  9. Prior experience in the development and construction of C stations or similar retail concepts is highly desirable.
  10. Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client meetings.

Salary range potential 150-180k + plus bonus depending on experience, build portfolio, references and industry successes and project background
