First Line Manager


Expand your professional portfolio as a First Line Manager at Robert Bosch, LLC in Charleston, SC. As a First Line Manager, you will provide management to the First Line of production, focusing on improving safety, cost, quality, delivery, and processes. This is a direct-hire opportunity with multiple shifts available.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in production team leadership
  • BS or AS degree (preferred)
  • Experience in high-volume, technology manufacturing processes and maintenance (preferably within the automotive industry)
  • Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead groups, and communicate effectively
  • High level of teamwork, initiative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules
  • Familiarity with MES systems (Promaster), SAP, or Tableau/PowerBI


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise skilled and semi-skilled labor, ensuring departmental goals and objectives are achieved
  • Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet goals and targets
  • Utilize technical skills and problem-solving techniques to focus on the reduction of equipment downtime and scrap costs
  • Apply lean manufacturing concepts (BPS) to the value stream, supporting the product team, Continuous Improvement Process, and Policy Deployment objectives
  • Support the deployment of TPM initiatives
  • Support the performance and career development of all team members through PPG and Qualcards
  • Promote a team environment that is focused on customer satisfaction
  • Interface with Engineering (manufacturing and quality)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
