First Line Manager
Expand your professional portfolio as a First Line Manager at Robert Bosch, LLC in Charleston, SC. As a First Line Manager, you will provide management to the First Line of production, focusing on improving safety, cost, quality, delivery, and processes. This is a direct-hire opportunity with multiple shifts available.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in production team leadership
- BS or AS degree (preferred)
- Experience in high-volume, technology manufacturing processes and maintenance (preferably within the automotive industry)
- Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead groups, and communicate effectively
- High level of teamwork, initiative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules
- Familiarity with MES systems (Promaster), SAP, or Tableau/PowerBI
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise skilled and semi-skilled labor, ensuring departmental goals and objectives are achieved
- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet goals and targets
- Utilize technical skills and problem-solving techniques to focus on the reduction of equipment downtime and scrap costs
- Apply lean manufacturing concepts (BPS) to the value stream, supporting the product team, Continuous Improvement Process, and Policy Deployment objectives
- Support the deployment of TPM initiatives
- Support the performance and career development of all team members through PPG and Qualcards
- Promote a team environment that is focused on customer satisfaction
- Interface with Engineering (manufacturing and quality)
- Perform other duties as assigned
