Description

Glenville State University is seeking applicants for a full-time, benefits-laden position in the Athletic Department. Area of specialization is open, but persons with a background or a strong interest in the administration of the University athletics are encouraged to apply.
Examples of Duties

  • Maintain Team Rosters with the Athletic Director.
  • Serve as Department's liaison for Arbiter; verifying game times and officials assigned.
  • Maintain Financial Aid Spreadsheet per sport.*Log existing Work Orders for the department, with follow up.
  • Code Financial Aid invoices and Purchase Invoices to ensure that transactions are applied to the proper accounts.
  • Serve on Department Hiring Committees.
  • All Aspects of Game Day Coordination with the Athletic Director.
  • Office Management. Working with the coaches in terms of department processes and day-to-day operations.
  • Tracking of BSN Meetings and Purchases.
  • KRONOS Tracking and Logging.

Typical Qualifications

  • Background in Customer Service or Office Administrative work preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
  • A basic knowledge of college athletics and sports as a whole.
  • With a minimum of two years' experience in an administrative office setting; not necessarily exclusive to Athletics

Life Insurance: $10,000 free to employees, optional coverage up to $500,000 based on age and salary. Additional plans are available for spouse and child coverage.

Retirement Plan: The college matches your 6 percent contribution (tax exempt dollars) towards TIAA/CREF or Teacher's Retirement System. Thus, 12 percent of your gross salary is working for your retirement income. New employees must join TIAA/CREF.

TIAA Total Disability Benefits Plan: Optional employees coverage that provides (1) monthly income and (2) payments of premiums to your TIAA/CREF retirement plan to participating employees who suffer total, long-term disabilities. The cost is adjusted according to individual salary on a yearly basis. Employees become eligible upon completion of the first year of employment.
