Tracking Code 15597-687 Job Description **This is a full time seasonal position that runs from May 3, 2021 until January 7, 2022**

**Summary:** Join our Entertainment Costume team. We are looking for applicants who have experience sewing and building intricate costumes, cutting out and reading pattern directions, noting and fulfilling costume design changes, as well as installing zippers, buttons, buttonholes, and more! This team is responsible for the production and upkeep of the costumes that our performers wear in our many Broadway-style and variety shows. They also help with fittings for our Parade Characters, performer quick changes, and laundry duties.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Assists with costume production including building, fitting, organizing, maintaining, and transporting costumes to and from venues.

* Assists Performers to dress and attends to costumes before, during and after performances.

* Arranges costumes on dress racks in sequence to appearance on stage to facilitate quick changes.

* Cleans, presses and spot dry-cleans costumes using washer, dryer, electric iron and/or steamer.

* Repairs costumes by hand or with the use of a sewing machine.

* Interacts with fellow employees without distracting them while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.

* Keeps work area clean and maintains organization.

* Ensures compliance with all authorized operator requirements and safety procedures specific to the job assignment.

* Maintains a dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules surrounding shows and events with required overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Skills Must possess advanced level sewing skills and be able to construct and maintain costumes by following pre-made templates and instructions. Must be self-motivated and possess good organizational skills with proficiency in time management. Ability to work alone or in a team setting. Must be adaptable to change and work well in high stress situations.

Required Experience One year experience in theater costuming preferred; combination of experience and/or education required.

**Must be at least 18 years of age.**
