Overview:


Our client is seeking a Environmental Partner to play a prominent role in the growth of a vibrant Boutique Law Firm.


This attorney will become an integral part of the cross-disciplinary group and will principally assist clients with all phases of the land use/development process, including pre-acquisition due diligence and strategy, entitlements, state and federal environmental compliance (California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Coastal Act and National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) and administrative appeals for all types of development projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects. Experience with renewable energy projects is also preferred but not required.


Responsible to provide professional legal counsel in a leading and supervisory role in one or more of the areas of the firm s environmental practice, including litigation, permitting, land use, redevelopment, regulatory compliance, and transactional support.

Act as an advocate and advisor concerning legal rights and obligations and recommend best practices and courses of action related to environmental issues.

Assist firm transactional counsel in conducting due diligence related to potential transactions and otherwise providing environmental and zoning guidance to transactional counsel as requested.

Represent clients in litigation related to environmental issues in state and federal courts and in administrative hearings.


Typical salary range for a Partner is from $300,000 to $500,000 depending on experience and amount of Portable Business brought to the firm. The firm offer bonus opportunities for attorneys of all levels. If your salary expectation is outside this range, we still encourage you to apply.


Requirements:

  • Portable book required circa $500,000
  • Based and barred in California (hybrid/remote working arrangements can be made)
  • JD from an accredited school
